The 3rd Filipino Readers Conference @ Ateneo de Manila University
with Mr. Eros Atalia, Writer |
Mr. Jun Matias of Precious Pages said that “Romance is the fastest mover” – was 60 to 70% of readers among all the categories. He was a fond of Traditional Comics. As per research, Manga is the best selling nowadays. By the way, Precious Pages is a Filipino Bookstore J

He is pertaining to his humorous writings J (it
made sense right? actually, when I was reading his books, I could always relate
myself unlike any other books where I’ll always in need of dictionary use. XD
Because he uses simple and “uso” na words)
“Gumawa ka ng sariling identity. FIND YOUR VOICE.”
- I
think this would mean that we have to be different and be our own in our little
ways. As per the others, Only YOU can be You. J
“Huwag mo akong susundan, paano kung maligaw ako? Edi naligaw tayo lahat.”
“Writing is a practice.”
Also, I enjoyed the food. :D (Yeah, since its inclusive)

My toughest decision ever goes to: Pinoy Reads Pinoy Books HAHAHA :D
I find it hard to decide where I would be among the four book discussions, namely: FLIPS FLIPPING PAGES on Seasons of Mist by Neil Gaiman, GOODREADS – THE FILIPINO GROUP on Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, PINOY READ PINOY BOOKS on Walong Diwata ng Pagkahulog by Edgar Calabria Samar and RMM BOOKED UP on Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card.
Since I chose to be with the PRPB, we discussed Walong Diwata ng Pagkahulog. According to the members of the Book Club, “Sino pa nga ba ang tatangkilik ng sariling atin kundi tayo rin.” – which is true. They had a monologue to give clues on how the story goes.
These are some of the lines of Walong Diwata ng Pagkahulog that stuck in my head:
“Kung nawawala, hinahanap.”
“Kahit wala yung isa, patuloy pa rin. Kahit imposible, maging Masaya na rin.”
“Huwag nating pag-usapan ang tungkol sa pamamaalam…”
“Umiibig. Umaalis. Naiiwan.”
“Tanong sa sarili na hinahanapan ng kasagutan…”
“Hindi mapagkakatiwalaan ang salita.”

“the Study of translation is a
Traitor.”

I got this from an audience who is an Atenean
Professor since the discussion was also referring to tagalized books.
Naaaah! This blog is over. Well, I
just shared what I’ve got from the conference. I hope you have learned at least
also. Thank you for reading, folks! Keep it posted. XD

Churches in the Phils
CHURCHES have been a place close to my heart. If i would
have a chance to have a tour in the world, i would love to go all the churches.
This is my home. A place where I can run to… A place has been there the whole
time. This is where I find peace. I believe that every Filipino loves the churches
because we all know that Philippines is a Catholic Country with a lot of
religious people. It has been our culture and this goes with our faith.
Taking photos during
my travel time :) There are a lot more but this one’s has a better quality. Those times that i have to borrow someones camera first just to have a copy of it. I thank God now that i was given a chance to have my own camera. --

Nurture Spa, Tagaytay PH
PHILTOA - Philippine Tour Operations Association held their team building here at the Nurture Spa, Tagaytay last September 26, 2013. Celebrating the success of Philippine Tourism Week: the 23rd Philippine Travel Mart.
Nurture Spa - If you are a nature lover and enjoy being surrounded by a lush tropical garden or forest, Nurture Spa's accommodations will meet your fancy. A far cry from "cookie cutter" hotel rooms in a high rise building which look exactly alike, Nurture Spa Village offers a much more individual, personal and Filipino experience. Ensconced in an expanse of garden, the rooms are located in separate buildings and are clean, comfortable, homey and proudly Filipino. Paintings by local artists accessorize the rooms. Guests have a choice of five types of accommodations: Deluxe Forest View Rooms, Superior Garden View Rooms, Standard Heritage Huts, Family Rooms and GLAMPING.
Wellness: Live Life. Love Life.
It was such a pleasure to be part of this wellness activity
- A time to unwind and relax after having a hard time on our daily activities.
"Health is wealth" as everybody says but how we often realize to pay
attention on this? We are too much concern with our hectic schedules to earn
for a living. We do not live just to earn, but also to learn. It was so nice
that you are having a time to be free from worries or anything. Just give
yourself even just a day to inhale fresh air to make up your mind, to freshen
and enlighten your temple.
WHOLE LIVING --> Body + Soul in Balance :)
Have a good one!
